I need to get a new jamb saw, was thinking of getting the Roberts long neck one but it's got a lot of bad reviews? Just got the Crain book and there a few good looking undercutting saws in there, any1 got or used them before?

Just looking online, two separate site with people saying the guard is dangerous or something? Think they were American sites. Also the Crain jamb saw has a dust extraction part.

i have (my personal one) the smaller roberts saw which the guard is crap.

The bigger one today i didnt look at. Will do tomorrow.

In its defence i think the guard on all of them is rubbish. (all makes)

I have both a Roberts Jambsaw and a Fein Multimaster. Multimaster all the way for me.

I have both aswell but the blades are just getting a joke to keep buying. Also it takes ages to cut out once the blade is slightly worn. I've gone back to the jambs saw but it's on it's last legs now, guard is broke and all the height fixings are starting to go and the case is broke

Yeah laminate, wood, cut out frames for lvt sometimes too. Just getting annoyed with the blades. Think I spent around £60 on blades and they all went on one job!

Are you using genuine Fein blades or alternatives?

I find the shark blades better than original ones and when they work out at only £2.50 a blade not to bothered about doing 1 or 2 a job

I couldn't get that link to work.

I used to go through a lot of blades with the Fein multimaster until someone on here posted that they used their multimaster on a lower speed - tried it and my blades last a lot longer now.

    Top post that was.

Which blades do you guys use? I use to buy the wood/metal fein blades as I kept hitting nails in the arcs. Not sure I would need them ones at the price of those shark blades!
