Need to price a job for approx 125m2 of Polyflor Camaro where the floor has underfloor heating. I am a sole trader with one employee and have never screeded an area of this size.
I contacted a company to come in and screed it using pumps etc instead of me doing it manually.
i have two questions, is this area too big to screed manually with 300hd providing i have a constant mix ready for me after each bucket?
Only question is that i was quoted around £1350.00 plus VAT to screed including their own screed, is this the going price?

    Look forward to the replies,

    Cheers

There are lads on here that do 100's and 100's of metres without getting it pumped in. With all due respect, how did you manage to win the job if you didn't know how you were going to do it?

g4l, as in the original post i need to price for it and have not won the job.

I screed a lot of floors but just havent done any of this size. I only do domestic properties and this one is all open plan and thought it would be easier to pump it until i received the quote to do it.

Apologies MG, I read your post fast without it all registering in the brain! Sounds like you'll be fine doing it manually if you've done loads, you might lose the job if you have to include getting it pumped in.
    Good luck anyway.

Easily done. I remember I once looked at a job, (prob 300-400 sq m) and was really worried. It needed grinding, priming and screeding.
Wayyyyy bigger than I had done before.
I got a firm in to do it, and they were rubbish.
    I won`t do that again.
It`s easy enough to screed any area by hand. I regularly screed area`s over 1000 sq. m
If I can help you with costs etc, just let me know.
