Anyone fitted any of this stuff. I did some today that had quicksteps locking system on it.

Tbh it was a pain in the arse and would have been just as quick and better sticking normal tiles down or them having vinyl.

I don't see it as a good product and can't see it taking off

If the subfloor was contaminated so you cant screed or glue to it or lets say the subfloor or exsisting floorcovering cant be covered with glue or compound for some reason (listed building or lease terms etc) then would a click lvt be any good?

All products have there time and place to be used. Products like a click LVT do have their time and place to be used. But like you say, be better off sticking down a lvt and doing design work if there is no reason for using a click product.

Also whos product did you install?

I've heard Carpetright will be introducing a click LVT so I'm sure it will become popular with the punters.

we use emporium , heuga and mfloor clic lvt ,its so simple ,minimal prep,no glue were fitting loads ideal for kitchens/bathrooms easier than a laminate to install with no moisture worrys.

I can't remember who's product it was, I'll find out.

The reason we fitted it was because they wanted to keep there ceramics down but then they took it up and was screeded.

It is good for that reason but in that case might as well just have vinyl

vinyl rips ,lvt need good prepping plus also you can uplift it and refit it if required plus you can charge more for installing than a vinyl.
    i like it.

Vinyl rips ?? It does if you don't take care when fitting it.

That's the idea behind this you don't need to prep it can be laid over ceramics/wood/concrete etc

It wears considerably better than most sheet vinyl.

ment vinyl rips when someone moves fridge etc on it afterwards also 4mm thick with .55mm wear layer and yes it doesnt need the same amount of prep as normal lvt

Don't think so think that's the idea behind it, we were supposed to be laying it on a ceramic floor but customer decided to take them up

subfloor still needs to be good but for example if you was fitting over a builders concrete / thermo tiles, ceramics etc if flat then no need to prepare.

Personally if it were me I'd screed anyway if you can make a subfloor better I see no point in not doing so

Popular with the punters how much per sq metre during a recession? in a deprived area and 6 quid a sq metre it must be bad to fit!It might be popular in Sandbanks.

The shop I work for just got a stand in, its called adore something or other. When I tried to test it out when the rep came in it seemed very hard to get it to fit correctlt without any gaps.

Personally, I don't think it will do any good.

The stuff I used was pretty hard to click in.

I had a game trying to cut around a radiator pipe then get it clicked in not easy at all

like most things, until you shown how to install you will struggle. Radiator pipes for example are very easy.
