Hi what primer do you guys use for going over ceramics used 131 yesterday let dry over night went to screed it today and was just pulling of all over
Uzin do a good one that never pulls off. I think its called pe360. I'll have to check that though, got some on the van.
131 does tend to pull of easy. Did you know that a lot of primers have a open life? most primers should be laid on within 8 hours. As for other primers, Mapei prim grip is great and can be left open for as long as you like. There prim t is fine also but i think drops into the 8 hour open time category.
Prim grip is preferred primer of choice although your screed doesn't flow as well on it as it does on prim t or 131 etc..
I got a screed to do tomorrow on high gloss ceramics and all I could get was 131 so ill see how it goes. I'll put it on neat then take a fan to help it go off
You will find it will pull off gloss ceramics just used laybonds Screedmaster Universal Primer great stuff will not pull off ceramics. Steve
Why customers won't pay for uplift first, then sub floor prep annoys me, they'll spend £X m2 on their flooring but not on what matters the prep.
Well just used p131 on some high gloss ceramics and I was very impressed as it didn't come off at all. Put on neat and dried in about 25mins Just see it starting to go off in the middle
