Took me a whole long day to fit 40m2 yesterday, all straight lay Karndean. All one level, empty rooms. but I did have an hour and a bit feathering before I started.Just out of interest, how long would it have taken some of you?
Depends mate what mood I'm in, how often I'm on the phone, how much tea I'm drinking and if a lot of difficult cuts. Don't think it matters though to me, sometimes I get to a job at 8 sometimes 10. Depends on what running around I do. But if I finish at 2 or 6 then that's life.
Ive in the past put down 60m2 on my own before, lounge 2x bedrooms hallway and cupboards in colonia, depends what size materials and what area to be honest though.
Depends what karndean it is if it's van gogh you can fly into it as big panks but If da Vinci panks you end up taking longer, but 40 sq a day is a good amount for a day with losing time feathering aswell
It's a hard thing to gauge. I've done 68 sq in a day but that was Van Gogh in a rectangular room. On the other hand sometimes I've been most of the day fitting a bathroom floor. I have different rates for different size planks due to time needed for fitting. One Van Gogh plank is three times the size of a Da Vinci one so it makes sense.
A good example is this job. Uplift carpet , ulay & gripper. Ply & fit van gogh. Took me 8 hours from start to finish !!!! Nothing seemed to go right. Good job it was on day rate Big planks in a small area are a nightmare . It was only 2 boxes!!
