Looking to get a new bed as ours is knackered. Going to wait till the jan sales.
With r game you need to look after ya back so a good bed is a must. Anyone know a good mattress that you rate?
The one we have not is a sprung type but now there is loads of choice.

We got a new one 6 months ago 10 inch deep and it's 8 inch of springs 2 inch of memory foam and have never slept so good really good for the back aswell, if your heading towards a memory foam one it may sound weird but if you take a heavy marble or lead weight test each mattress if it bounces its no good as its hard foam that compresses under your weight if the marble stops dead and leaves a small indent it's a true memory foam designed by NASA

the problem with memory foam is after 5 years the foam is knackered, you want a good pocket sprung mattress with quality comfort layers which you need the weights of similar to carpet

Also certain mattress don't work properly on certain frames we ended up with one of the cheaper frames and a more expensive mattress as they worked the best together it took us 8 weeks to choose the right one

I got a pocket sprung last year and it's the best I've ever had by far. It wasn't cheap but it was worth it.

I've got a Tempur mattress not cheap but you can claim the vat back if you have a pre existing back complaint. As i see a chiroprctor once a month that counts :D

I would recommend a Harrison bed. UK manufacturer based in Leeds, you can go for memory topped or natural fillings. We sell loads of natural compared to memory. I think like so many good products on the market, there are always others who bring out cheaper alternatives and end up spoiling the general publics opinion when it fails prematurely. Perfect example of this is Tempur, a real quality product that has been copied by every man and his dog and still they don't come close! I would recommend the Harrison Pearl or the new Amethyst.
