Please can someone help me out with a question ive had this morning ? I've had a call this morning regarding a sanding job the customer has has some Bausen 18 x 190mm engineered oak flooring laid as a structual floor nailed but they now dont like the finish and want a Matt finish. my question is, as it is only 18mm thick once ive sanded it is it still classed as a structual or when does it become non- structual. cheers
my question is, as it is only 18mm thick once ive sanded it is it still classed as a structual or when does it become non- structual. Wow, how much are you thinking of sanding off....
personally i'd NEVER use anything less than a 20mm or 21mm board for going straight to joist or anything structural... belt 'n braces no Q's & no comebacks... again personally - would try to dissuade them against taking back an 18mm product & re-finishing... good luck matey
