I never put prices on any samples etc if a customer sees a price for x amount sq metre and its only 8 sq m hall wall you have to explain its under minimum metre etc so a minimum charge applies which puts most off as bob down the road will do it for £20 i get customer to choose from selection of 3 ish from each price bracket cheap mid range and decent then I just measure job and give them price, prices are normally guide lines and can be changed, but what if you have a sticker on say for £25 sq m sup and fit but job is 200 sq m and matey down road who hasn't got price on Sample will do it for £22 metre as its large area straight away customer has it in head your £600 more expensive, don't get me wrong I don't win every job I price but I've found pricing every jobs materials individually you can still earn good money by dropping or raising prices to suit

I use stickers, but my prices are flexible depending on how well I read the customer.
But if customers start quoting other shops prices at me (usually CR or online), I'll point out the differences between their services and mine, and tell them to take their pick.
