vinyl is not the dogs these days it either cuts like chewing gum i use a straight blade instead of a hook concave etc or you have to cut it three time because it just grows in my opinion it has gone downhill rapidly over the last 5 years.
And what is it with the ultra glossy patent leather look crap where you just cannot open it out without getting a crease that looks b awful yep the one with the felt back does anyone from the manufacturer actually try to fit this sh*t ,rant over!
Well almost vinyl spray only works on your nose hair pmr tape wont stick unless you use carpet spray to prime so what is the point,
well i am glad i got that off my chest :) and another thing if you have to go through all the prep you might as well fit knight tile!

Knight tile! You would be better off leaving the floor as concrete/chipboard.

the vinyl with the felt backing is bloomin horrendous! hate the stuff. some days i enjoy getting the hook blades out instead of a big tough carpet or a laminate or lvt job. depends if in the mood haha. hook blade for me, straight blades on some(most) of the architraves these days

Only ever use a straight blade on vinyl or carpet, with vinyl i tend to stick to selling tarket, PARTICULARLY texstar, i love fitting that.

Totally agree about the shiny vinyl, some of them have patterns that could only ever suit a bathroom, but if you got water on them you'd be doing a Torville and Dean all over the place.
