Got one of these bad boys last week for a school of polyflor pu. Have to say was the best money I've spent in a while.effortless uniform grooves at an unbelieveable speed. That's the end of the p groover and straight edge. Made grooving and welding a pleasure. A must have tool in my opinion even though its costly.
very expensive. Makes you wonder how much money they loose in sales overall for being so expensive. As a example, i could be demoing that on every course and im sure everyone would want one. At that price i know nobody will purchase one but if it was say £100 then im sure most on a course would buy one. So lets say i have 10 people on the course, that would be £1000 in sales. At £400 quid that = ZERO sales.

they are expensive simply due to specialist. However many tool manufactories make a massive mistake of marketing high as they think "well we will sell a few of them" Big mistake. I could sell hundreds of the tool in question if it was under £100. I can not sell at £400, i would not even bother doing a demo of a tool priced so high as people on the course would moan at me for showing tools they cant afford. Here is a example, the mozart trimmer. It is a fair price and everyone that see's me use it goes and buys one. They buy one as its priced fair so i do demos with it. I had not realisied the tool sat on my desk for six months is so like this. Was sent them as a sample, lent one out to a fitter to try, asked for it back he refussed and paid £90 for dispite me pointing out I had no replacement cutting blades. Said it was the best tool he had ever used for grooving. The minimum quantity and import tax was the big off putting point for getting some, they would have been selling around the £200 - £250 mark which I thought was far to expensive for a hand powered tool.. Clearly I was wrong... The wheels contain little barring sets for a real smooth running action..
Anyone else had any more experiences using these. I'm really thinking about buying one as I've got a big job coming up with a LOT of welding but I just need the assurance they are worth the money. Also, where can you buy the replacement blades from?
