Looking at the tech leaflets for mapei fibreplan and renovation and they both state you can screed directly to chipboard??
i have brought this up with them in the past. They was supposed to change it. Basically its a translation issue from italian to english. The answer is no you cant.
I have used this product with success http://www.bond-it.co.uk/index.php?...nload=1234:apf&id=75:floor-compounds&Itemid=4 Must prime with VD primer Sent all the fitters to the German factory, they are not well known in the UK but one of the biggest in Europe, all of thier products are good but the APF is the best out there for over flexible floors, get the rep to give you a few bags to try. On the course they put a 3mm coat on ply over two battens spaced a large distant apart, next day it flexes over 2 inches without cracking, wouldn't have belived it if I hadn't seen it.
schonox gear! seen that demo'd at Amtico last yr, it was the anhydrate screed they were using. Looked like chalk when cured supply is an issue up here, so Never seen it since lol
