36m2 Living room - New build engineered herringbone 100mm x 600mm 2 coats Osmo Polyx 3032 double block border Yep wait for it white scotia beading WTF!!! client is 'always' right apparently...?
Looks lovely that mate. Apart from the beading. If they go to the cost of having a decent floor done, why not get the skirts replaced and sat on top? As you say'customer is always right'
everytime Crea8 mate... I gave them a ridiculously low price to remove & re-fit (As new build & pop off easy enough) just to ensure best & appropriate finish & to be able to hold my head up when I said I installed it, not some poxy scotia!!! BUT they didn't want any damage to the walls FFS!!!!! end of the day they paid a lorra coin for this job & look ssweeet BUT scotia just taints it a bit... onwards & upwards eh...
cheers UVc, 20mm engineered T/tongue up the one side then G/groove on the 3 other. Goodfellows manufactured...
ahhh gotcha Tark, soz matey... yep offered them every option under the sun rather than the scotia but they just wanted the easiest / cheapsest option with as little disruption etc as poss!! bizarre really after the coin they'd invested in it...!?!?!
sounds stupid really scrimping on the finishing touches which can make or break the finished job, I get it a lot they'll spend 1000 's on the wood then question the prep and fitting costs
yep pi$$es me right off when you consider the coin spent then to finish it with scotia!!! some peeps can't seem to comprehend their own investment - you take it this beautiful new floor for will be there for 80-100yrs+ & will age & grow in character over time adding value to the property so WHY OH WHY scrimp on the finish which they'll now have to live with for the foreseeable future. as prev mentioned i even them gave them a stupidly low price to remove & re-fit the skirting JUST to provide THEM with the best primary finish as opposed to a secondary looking scotia which WILL look $heite & tatty in no time at all!!!! make me blood f00kin boil...
