Might be behind you guys who have used it already but walked into my trade counter today to be greeted by a pile of wide plank karndean looselay! i thought wtf loselay karndean? Anyone actually seen it? its a sh*t sized plank must be 10" wide but it has a rubber waffle on the back, the more you put down the better it grips, i was playing about with it and i'm not sure i like it, i would have to see if in a fitter environment to be sold on it but just seems like a lazy mans option to me. Anyone got any experience with it ?
No haven't seen it but I bet it's got many limitations as to where you can use it, as in conservatories !!!
I saw it in supplies and they tried to give me sample but not interested to me it just doesn't sound right to loose lay a lvt maybe if it takes off and I get any inquiries I may do a course but won't be fitting any while ive not been shown how to fit it properly
Yeah i bet your right, sales guy just kept banging on about its sound proofing quality, i can think of better options.
I fitted 70sqm of the wood plank in a house at highclere castle. They only want it down for 6months. Fitted it over some old lvt tiles and ply with gaps in it. The product was actually much better then I though it would be but if I was laying it in a 'normal' house I would want the floor screeded or ply. This was specified to us by the architect and we was told to fit over existing floor. Still ended up sticking a couple though especially for the door bars or if you get left with any small cuts. You also have to cut it in as tight as possible coz the planks still move a out on the floor. Overall for the price of it I can't see it being used in a home environment. The tiles could work well in an office
