Who has a alarm on their van.
Thinking of getting one that goes off if someone breaks in back or front.
Not got a clue where to go or which one? Halfords?

I've got the cobra 3868 it upgrades your standard key fob and immobiliser to cat 1 so will lower your insurance. Cost £240 all installed and gives protection all round

Best security for a van is dead locks all around and no windows at the back, we always fit double lock deadbolts and get into the habit of walking around the van and locking them!
Cost us around £250 for the sprinter last time

Totally agree. I park in dodgy places all the time, and always deadlock.
I think, just the fact that they are there, deters most thieves.
There generally looking for a quick in-out, so don`t want to mess around with security lock`s.
We are working on a site at the moment, and every van which did not have deadlocks was broken into. About 20 in total.

I don't think it matters what security you have. If they want it they will get in. Even seen sides of van cut open including roofs. I feel an alarm works where as security locks show you have something there I know as I had them on a van before and they broke in. Best bet is remove tools

Glad I don't live where some of you guys do. Sounds like Baghdad would be safer.

Ordered the cobra alarm. Which is Thatcham approved category 1 alarm what ever that means.
I'm mostly outside people's houses so want a alarm if some one broke in I'd hear it do I can run out and throw 46 on them.
