What's peoples favourite water based screed ? Everyone bangs on about 300 which is good but I've started using Mapei Ultraplan eco. Its half the price & flows like a dream !
I like k11 and renovation screed. Need to try the better mapei screed, Ive heard they are good but never remember to order them!
I've used ultra plan Eco for a few years, always gets a good finish. Also k11 is very good for a cheap screed.
Mapie Eco plan is a budget product (with very high specification still). If you think Eco is thats good then try using Mapie's high end products. Only issue is that not many stock the high end products that Mapie make as most people are more than happy with the budget range.
I always used K11 until the wholesalers where out of stock and Eco was suggested as an alternative ! I'm a changed man now !
I've always used 300 but I'm going to have a go with Ultraplan Eco after these comments....if I don't like it I now where to come for a rant lol
Although quite expensive I prefer the Ball/stopgap 300. Have used it for over 15 years without problems. Always open to new suggestions though. Wasn't over keen on the Mapei products personally,
Fine flow 3000. Great stuff and a great price ! They also make a fibre reinforced screed called level flex.
I've used loads of level flex for years Cheap as chips but now & then its a bit dodgy ? Don't know why ?
Stauf (Made in Germany) It flows like 300 but if you want it as a flexible screed you just chuck in a bag of fibres when mixing! Obvious really. The UK firms will probably pick up on it in 5 years or so.
I've used Stauf adhy Free sample of universal & good gear but where did you get the screed from thought they just made glue ?
