I need to replace my crappy tacwise nailer for fitting scotia, what do you all use? Anyone used the makita cordless pin nailer?
Spot nails mate ! I had a go of someone's tacwise the other day Lol I couldn't even get a staple in a bit of 6mm ply properly with out pushing down with all my weight ?
Its not that there crap but these types of brands are normally just designed for joiners ect If you get a spotnails you can use a few different types of bullets suitable for light fixings like brades but also bullets for fastening ply ect
This is what I use for scotia fixing http://bostitch.co.uk/products/tool-details/gbt1850k-e/ its lightweight can put tiny pins in for no filling on the scotia
I'd go for anything 18g and under mate, when it comes down to using white beading or light colours you want a small gauge of brad/veneer pin. The spotnails se08 is a very good tool. On that subject, does anybody know where I can pick up the non marring tips for the se08, I've lost both of mine? thnks in advance.
The trade discount shop would be handy, I've got a few bits and bobs to get and I can get them all in one delivery
