I'v got a showroom and fitting service and have just been shown these products, what are your experienced views on them?

They look the real deal to me and if they were £10 a meter cheaper and did what they said they could do then i could see them taking over the market.

Tried both products and find the Looselay much better. It wants to go to flat whereas the Simplay had a habit of kinking a bit. Just my experience and as a result we run Looselay and have hadsome decent sales so far for it being a newish product. Agree, the price is always a concern but my rule of thumb is if its cheaper, its cheaper for a reason. ;)

I'v just sold my first little bathroom floor of it before so i'll see what its like. I had a feeling the Looselay would be a little better. I can see the product growing rapidly if the price becomes affordable so i'm trying to get on it at the start.
Does anyone know of any other companys trying to bring out their own version of it but cheaper?

Earthworks gear looked very good at Harrogate, there's a few companies doing the looselay type LVT out there

Tbh I think looselay is a great market for those who do not have the expertise to offer a creative design floor, it gives the whole market a chance to jump on the lvt band wagon. Great news for manufactures but is it great news for design flooring specialists who have been doing lvt for years??

It won't be that long before it's in the sheds and devalued

Tbh Any LTV looselay product is only suitable for very rare circumstances & will never replace the real thing as design options are basically none excitant unless stuck down ?

Karndean are plugging it at the mo but it will soon fade away to an existing option when needed rather than a preference !

LVT is the future but fully stuck not loose ?

Isn't that what Karndean are saying u have to do with their looselay? I haven't fitted any so dont know why you'd need to stick a looselay product??

I've heard of a lot of free looselay stands being given as no one wants it !!

I'm finding the opposite is true on the stands, Karndean haven't even done any swatch cards of it or they haven't done enough. I can see the quandary with this product, if the technology is as good as it says it is then it won't be long before one of the factory's comes up with design strips etc. Which would then make standard LVT obsolete. So why would they do that to themselves and like you say it would devalue the product.
If the technology is right then it won't be long before one of the factory's try's to steal the market first by bringing the price down and introducing design strips.
    Only if it works though.

There are looselsy swatch samples ? There a good size as well I've got the wood & tile samples but not many colours though & if you want design strips for the tiles they have to be made for you but then need to be fully tackerfied ?

Oh yeah that looselay that gets stuck down !!! I cover from slough to Skegness and I've not met a customer yet that wanted or paid for a looselay stand. I would assume that when you plough as much in as karndean have they will need it to work, the books or stands are put in to tick a box

Its not permanently stuck Its like fitting LVT like carpet tiles ! But you don't have to tacky it !
It does have it uses but only for certain applications its never guna be as big as there making out ?

Put 75sqm of the wood plank down in a house in the grounds of highclear castle. Is only temporary to last 6months. Was better than I thought but not good enough that I would recommend it for home use. Definetly more commercial I think for offices but I would b much happier sticking atleast some of it down which we didn't before

just had the Quickstep rep in today and they are launching an LVT range next week, one standard square edge, two beveled all the way around and third option on the click system, want £900 for a stand but with that you get one guy on the fitting course.
not cheap but looks ok, texture is correct with the picture, so around the knots you have more, bevel is good,
think its expensive but they might sell because of the name I suppose, don't do enough domestic to bother with the stand and they reckoned they will control the prices this time, rather than have a free for all on the tinternet, but I have heard it before so i will wait and see.
