I,m after a planer or sander to smooth off floorboard ridges prior to plying, I was looking at the exakt planer/sander which is reasonably inexpensive http://www.exakt.biz/sp180.html or if its another make is it better to have a belt type or a drum type ??
Don't know about the exact at the moment, but they have asked me to reply to their email regarding machines and sundries... Drum sander is ok for big areas belt sander? do you mean hand held? if you do I think they're too light in weight but easy to handle in small areas..
Yes hand held, just for going over edges of any floor boards that are slightly raised prior to fixing ply over the top. haven't used an electric planer or a belt sander so wanted to know what the best would be for the purpose
