hi chaps sorry not been on for a while been busy and only really get a chance to pop in to see topics.ive just purchased a str701 as the victor had it but I need the drive board.anyone know where to get one and rough cost?tia

 

You can get one from spe direct. You can call and pay with credit card.
They also do all the different grinding heads, discs etc

I just use a standard drive board (rubber base) then use 16 grit sanding discs.
For rubbing up latex etc, thats the best way. The skirt attachment with a decent vac will give almost, dust free operation.
See there site for the different attachments, there are loads

 

I did mate thinking of the one that holds different blocks for removing bitumen and adhesive.I found the 16 grit on my victor a bit harsh on the screed so was concerned about using it on the str as its heavier.does it not gouge the screed?

 

I find it fine, so long as it`s gone off properly.
You could use a finer grit, if it`s a problem.
