this weeks offering... 44m2 Kahrs Oak Verona 2-Strip & solid oak scotia finish (spit!!!) task 1 acoustic caulk / sealant to floorboard gaps & skirting task 2 fully bond Soundlay Plus sheets (1.0m x 1.2m) to area task 3 install the Kahrs task 4 scotia finish to perimeter extra pic of semi-mashed middle finger - cause, whilst 'V-cutting' the end of a board to fit around rad pipe i used (as I have done a million times) the old chopsaw to cut away the unwanted 'tip'of the V only to move a lil smidge then jam & smash the V piece into my fingy!!! ouch!!! luckily i'm just a simples Welshman...
Yea Nick, it's a funny one... a natural oak finish the Karls (LOL) Verona BUT for some reason just doesn't look as sweet as many other products, clients we're chuffed though,,,!
glad you asked the Q Jamb, have to admit that the Soundlay Plus was absolutely spot on mate, more than lived up to expectations & dampened footfall much more than any other product i've used prior to, provided masses of sound reduction - check out the data sheets etc http://www.cmsdanskin.co.uk/product...lus High Performance Sound Insulating Overlay NOTE i used the soundlay PLUS as opposed to the soundlay, the PLUS has double the rubber mat & is 3mm thicker than the soundlay, plus it costs a good bit more... you get what you pay for & i will say i'm mega impressed & hope that the results of this install spur the client on to have the rest of their apartment floored in the same manner...
