Ive done work for a building firm for nearly a year subcontract doing social housing anyway things started getting a bit busier with them this year so having a chat with site foreman who I usually deal with tells me a major housing association they do work for had there fitters in house but have now given the flooring contract to the builders I work for so I ask why apparently the in house fitter wasn't glueing out the safety vinyls he was using silicone around the edge to hold it then siliconing around the edge to hide bad cutting in shocking like to see how he does cap n cove
Had a call today from a building firm doing local council houses bathrooms & kitchens, wanted me to start Tuesday and stay on job for the foreseeable, want two kitchen & two bathrooms in safety a day (not C&C), all to screed out, labour only £11m2. Had to knock em back cos busy next week but quiet week after, told em that but said no good. Not my usual work but have been working towards this area, done nvq, H&S test etc, is that a good rate. Bathrooms 4m2 kitchens 6m2 ?
If they are giving you 11pound a SQ just to fit i take it and not to supply anything no bad price depending on size If you have to supply that would not be good
