I need some advice, I have old concrete and floorboards plus a new concrete oversite to be completed shortly as part of an extension to the room. I would like to tile with underfloor heating how do this ensuring the is no cracking etc due to he change, limited heat loss and no change in height when I connects to existing flooring in other rooms? I keep going around in circles trying to figure it out but I am confused.

Use the orange matting on flexabile adhesive and if you are going to match up to existing it will have to be a thin electric underfloor heating

Hi, I intend to have tiles as they are more hard wearing (its a kitchen area). I have spoken with a number of people with a range of differing options given.
1). Take up floorboards, put ply down, followed by some concrete sheet flooring, then the ditra matting, which should give a stable surface.
2). As 1st option but with expansion gaps between the differing floor surfaces.
We are in a unique situation that they are laying the new oversite in the next few weeks so may be able to adjust the thickness of the final new concrete to help with levels.
The other option is to have engineered wood with no underfloor heating, but have concerns note floor wear as this is going to be a high traffic area.
    I'm going round in circles!
