Following on from the post about fitting rates, I need some advice about the subfloor.

The floor needs levelling but the issue is in places it has floor paint. They have taken all the loose areas up but what is the best way to attack this and what to use as I don't want any come backs.

    Thanks.

If you want to be safe, grind the lot off.

Wont stick to it get a copper disc on a buffer and get rid or run the risk of it failing.

A copper or diamond pad on abuffer will help but not a 100% safe way then screed with na or 1200

A diamond grinder will take it off.
Agree with Bournemouth Na or 1200 would be best, but expensive.

Alternatively get a grinder with a pcd disc. That'll get anything up. Make sure you hook up to a vac though.
Can be slow on bigger areas. Took me 6 hrs to remove bitumen tile adhesive from 50m2
