Vacuums over 1600W banned

    From September the EU has banned the production of 1600W or over vacuums http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-28878432. Not totally sure about sales/parts etc.

    By 2017 vacuums will be limited to 900W.

    Ain't the EU brilliant :blockedup

    stock up on henrys you will make a killing on the black market for when carpet fitters ones go pop :)

    Does that not come under the import rule?? Perhaps one off or low numbers will be fine. Wander when they'll start banning them completely for use??

    I also wandered how it will effect commercial use, shop vacs etc..

    What so the production of a 1600w hoover is more damaging to the world than a 1400w ?
