What's every one using for gel back f3 or f40? I like the idea of using f40 but last time I used it it didn't go off for ages! Also would it be crap direct to a new screed?
Did you roll it on with one of these? http://www.tradediscountshop.co.uk/shop/339/ Poor it into a paint tray then roll away..... Or did you trowel it on?
If it's repeated work them don't use f3 . Or in few years time it's gunna be a ball acher uplifting. I use f40 with fine notch
When u say new screed do you mean a builder sand and cement screed.? If so yeah f40 is crap direct . Especially if screed is pitted a bit. If it's smooth , probably priming it will do the trick.
I only use those ones for primers No way id be using them for addy as I always find them in back of van fully set and rock hard So I just use cheapy ones for adhesive
Yes mate, I haven't seen the screed yet but if it's crap I will probably go with f3. F40 more expensive but looks like a lot more coverage. If it was latexed I would go with f40
I use mapei Eco range. It goes down well with the customers too. I use my health and safety waffle and they love it . Plus it's better for fitters too .
They've had an offer on at alvin Morris for years now. Buy three tubs and get 40% off. So it makes sense in that way too.
Yeah it does get to you . Don't want to sound like a hypocrite (coz love beer and food) but it really is nasty gear prolonged use. Some nasty chemicals in f3.
& its cheaper but I've never really noticed any wiff with f3 I suppose you get used to it ? I don't even notice f60
