Backstory: we're buying our first house, and as its a new build house and we have declined the developer's carpets we need to arrange our own carpets, underlay, fitting etc. So, we've got a couple of local guys going in this week to measure up and quote us for supply & fit carpets, underlay, the whole works. We want a decent underlay, not sure if we can stretch to the very best though (about 80sqm in total). One of them has suggested using Cloud 9 Connoisseur 8mm underlay - I can't find much info on this online, and even on here a search shows no mention for over a year and no actual reviews. Before he mentioned the Cloud 9 Connoisseur I was actually thinking that we'd probably go for Duralay Treadmore rather than a PU foam one. So any opinions - is it really "top quality" as he says? Thanks a lot for your help - first time buying carpets and having to do a whole house is a bit daunting.
Cloud 9 Connoisseur is an excellent PU underlay imo I use it all the time as an 'upgrade option' A very dense underlay which works very well
Cloud 9 fan here. connoisseur is a good quality underlay, its usually this or the 11mm cloud 9 called Cumulus which is very popular with my customers.
