Alright guys, just wondering who has a landline number? I got one about 2 years ago but is a virtual one that customer phones and is diverted to my mobile. From speaking to customers I get a bit of work from it as it seems more "secure" if you know what I mean?

Problem with it is the landline is connected to the wife and she is connected to my mobile, or at least it seems like she is.

i have one too ! , obviously as a training centre with offices etc.

Amazingly tho, people phone my mobile before the land line. Have ended up removing my mobile number from website as was getting calls at daft hours at night. Even gone 1 am people would ring it and if i answered they would be trying to book a course.

I have removed mobile from website but still get the odd random call to mobile at daft hours.

I get to floorSkills form 8am and leave at 6pm (normally later) every day. However the next day i average 20 odd missed calls after the hours of 6pm on land line.

I didn't even have a landline full stop until I got the full sky package ? I still don't know my number & don't use it & I'm Defo not giving it to my customers Lol My website has Mobile & email only & I get a fair amount of calls\emails so see no need to add my landline ?
Landlines are a bit old school now everyone uses mobiles more I recon

I think some customers prefer to see a landline, some find it more reassuring. It is old school but there's a lot of old school customers out there ;)

Yes I have a landline, no phone connected to it, and on permanent redirect to my mobile, Ive had the number for 25+ years though so a lot of people have it. I've also had the same mobile number since 88' apart from the 7 that was added after the 0 to standardise, however many years ago that was. I still occasionally come across some customers that have old cards of mine with the mobile starting 0860.

I give out my landline and my wife answers it all posh like. I used to only give out my mobile but being on your phone during the day is not getting the floor down...It seems to be old school people call the landline and hip cool young ones tape me up on my mobz man!

My land line is from Vodafone red business tariff. I can turn it on or off use land line number when calling customers so my mobile doesn't show on there caller II'd and when I go on holiday I can divert the number to my mates phone but if he doesn't answer after a set amount of time it will automatically divert back to me

I use http://www.aql.com/telecoms/new-number/prices/ works out about £3 per month. Customers phone landline and shows as business number, it costs me to receive the call so I make my excuses and call customer back as have free unlimited calls so for all my minutes and text and data works out about £10 per month
