Recently laid Amtico tiles (Spacia: ceramic sable) with concrete pale stripping in a new build. Did a great job only to find a week later the sparky had dragged the cooker across the kitchen before installing it, putting scratches in several of the tiles!! Wondering what might be the best way to treat these? I see amtico do a floor dressing, will probably give that a go but is there anything better..?

Need to be replaced if deep scratches.

Dr Shutz do a floor dressing that disguises deep scratches but it needs to be mechanically removed when refreshing. Would it not be easier replacing the affected tiles?

Must be a 'sparky' thing because I had the same on the amtico signature I laid last month. He owned up to it fair play and had to pay for another box, not cheap lol £198. I had to replace 11 tiles and when the customer seen what was left she got me fitting out a small cupboard in her hallway. £50 and a case of export for 45mins work. Not bad I say.

Id replace them adamski, will save you heaps of time trying to 'repair' them

ive repaired a hole in some old marble effect tiles with the hard wax that you can use for wood chips, you melt it in with the tool provided if you can match the colours it will work, i would change the tiles if possible.

I get this on a regular basis. I've repaired with good results with melting hard wax, but get better results with a worktop repair kit 250 colours so will always get a match or mix your own, it sets rock hard. But if u have spare tiles replace it as its way quicker.

Thanks for your replies fellas been off comms for a couple of weeks......I do have left over tiles may give that a go, just not sure how easy they'll come up (stuck with PS adhesive and pressed several times with 70kg roller). Worktop repair kit is also a good shout, I actually have scratches in my brand new worktop too (grrrrr......no one owning up to this but prob same sparky!) so might get something in the floor shade too and try that first. Thanks again
