I know a few people have done it and I've laid over loads but always been told to screed on concrete and not ply. So if concrete is dry what's the problem with putting plywood down if it's glued and screwed?
Years ago that's all we did. The guy I fitted with hated screeding with a passion so every concrete job was drilled, plugged and screwed. Noisy dusty bloody job I just find screeding easier, quicker and still a more solid surface when fitted. As always.............. each to there own
Screed every time for me unless there's a small amount of concrete on a ply job like a flat half in a living room
As Jambo says screeding is quicker and possibly cheaper. If the sub floor is uneven is the ply going to level it to the same extent as screeding would?
Not many smooth flat concrete floors out there so do you screed it first & then are you going to feather the ply or Flexy screed it ?
How many coats would I have to wear ? What if it's hot though can I just not bother with the second coat ?
