I have to do a estimate on an old cottage it has quarry tiled floor throughout , it's rented and they want hard flooring , laminate was suggested by the client and some one is estimating on what looks like a lock lvt ( from sample he had ) I doubt there is a Dpm underneath the subfloor and one of the rooms leads to an outside pool , obviously cost will come in to it as it's quite a large area probably about 100 Sqm .......any suggestions , quite a tricky one !!
Jumpax and lvt? Or can't the click LVT just go over the ul they sell as its not affected by moisture is it?
What about the temp changes in a rented cottage not always occupied , I don't know much about the click version , never done it
I have never used jumpax , is that not affected by moisture ? And can it go over quarry's , and lastly can't find a price on is it expensive ?
Yes it can go over quarry if moisture in floor use dpm poly sheet and it's around £13 a m2 ( 2.88 m2) per pack
Okay cheers What would u expect to charge for fitting it ? Trouble is with this job is a holiday rent so its gonna get cold and have temperature changes when no ones in there which makes me nervous with LVT type flooring ,and I presume there would be movement on the jumpax too ?
I can only comment on Gerflor Creation Click, as that`s the only one I have fitted. It`s a excellent looking product, and can be laid over damp floors, but still requires an expansion gap. It`s also expensive, so not sure it will be of any benefit to you on this one.
