OK so I've brought the eibenstock mixer with electronic speed control and lock on switch. I'm cleaning my buckets in the hope of getting the I tools station and keeping it clean. But I'm seeing everyone has variable speed on there mixers. So how do you you use the eibenstock when the triggers the speed control ? Daz as I know you have one lol.
Mine came with free mixers, with variable speed. It does help, as I set a low speed, pile it in, then turn it up as more is added
Is it the black single handled drill looking one or the 'plasters' double handled one? My one (former) I use a cable tie to hold trigger at a set point then add bags then can slide cable tie out of way and control it by hand.
@ Pf - may as well sell me your Itools station and go back to standard method lol stop being tight and buy yourself a dedicated drill for your itools! Loke Neily says its much better when you can leave it on a low speed, add the bags then speed it up then go for a walk, stretch them knees, loosen up them arms ready to spread , you dont want to be standing there supervising it when you dont need to ha
It's done via the trigger Dazza. So have to use finger to do it. Best to buy another drill to use with the iTools like I have
Ive got this retina/eibenstock mixer (see pic) it is a dedicated mixer and the cable tie does the trick :yessir
I just brought this one as everyone that has the itools seems to have this mixer. Which one do you use ?
Like I said I just have a cable tie set up on trigger so that I can leave it running, then when done just slide it out of way, works a treat.
sorry matey. Just spent £200 on the eibenstock. I think the cable tie will be cheaper. Will be ordering the station tho
Could you do this on high speed floor buffers to slow them down? What would you use a light dimmer switch the ones with the dim able switch
I don't see why not. Although, you'd essentially be dropping the volts below it's intended use (of which I don't really don't know the implications), so you may need something different to - or aswell as - a voltage regulator. You can get in line voltage regulator for things like commercial fans, amps ect. I'm no spark/electrics geek I'd say it'll be best to call into an electronics shop..
That's the ideal, but we don't all live in utopia...Sometimes things need slight alterations to make them fit our needs. Some of the best tools I've got are because I made them that way..
Lets see a 20p cable tie or a brand new £250 mixer... my way is cheaper and does the job just as well I will replace my eibenstock mixer for the other kind when it dies but not before, especially when their are other tools I want to spend my money on first
