Did a job for a mate of mine in a cafe with some cushion floor. There was cushion floor on laminate previous so I uplifted the vinyl and machined off the old adhesive as much as I could with the str but my god ive been fighting with bubbles all day after fitting the new stuff and its worn me out. There is still bubbles in it now I wanted to uplift the laminate and start a fresh with a nice screed but him being tight said he cant afford it. Wasnt charging him much either. One direction it looks great but the opposite with the window its really annoying, he loves it and aint bothered but its doing my head in even though im home now I cant chill ha...feel like going back for another fight with it. Dont think ill go in his cafe for couple weeks, give the air time to evaporate. Said id go back and give it another roll nextweek but cant see it doing much. Aarrrgghh why do I agree to do these bloody cowboy fits Rant over...for now.
Went in wet to so guess ill let it do its thing with the off gassing. ....see, its still doing my head in
ive had it before havnt had time to let it go tacky so layed in wet loads of little bubbles but next day flat as a fart
Yep, you went in to wet... As you've rolled it the transfer should suck it down just as nevertrever2 mention.. But your brain will be in 6th gear until you go back and look...
Well lads ive now got a sore head from bouncing off one of the bubbles and smashing my head on his ceiling ...popped in on way home and it settled loads, still a few little bits here and there so going to give it another few days and go back and get brutal with it. Never again!!!! On a lighter note, done a nice straight forward Egger laminate job today, customer drops off key to the conservatory this morning, turns up.....no skirting, customer even laid the underlay for me. Great I thought until I needed to release some morning spring, nearly got caught by the posty whilst I was pissing in a bottle in the van lol
