The tall ships are in Belfast and they do look impressive and as the motorway flyover pass close by where their moored I've seen a lot of them. I've been asked if I'm going down to see them but people are surprised to hear me saying that I've no interest in an outdated mode of transport. If the kids were younger I might have taken them but their in their 20's. People are romanticising about these boats as the life of sailors back in their hayday was dangerous and often cruel. I'm asked would I not have liked to go to sea to see the sea, why I ask ? There's nothing to see but an endless horizon where you highlights are sun rise and sun set if your lucky. Question...... Am I being a realist or becoming a clinical old git
