Hi fellows, Decades ago, many floorlayers used to screed without priming, but now this is considered terribly bad practice with potential dire consequences. I have been pondering over the following question for some time: You lift a needlepunch fully adhered carpet which has been down for some years, and because the old F3 has dried out and is now almost like powder, the carpet lifts easily and cleanly with some dried residue of adhesive still on the solid concrete floor. You then sweep it clean and hoover it. Would you then direct stick the new carpet with or without priming the floor as a general rule?
