Hi there, occasional lurker and now member. I'm a resilient floorlayer of over 20 years and still hungry to learn and be proactive in the trade as a whole. I have recently returned to the UK after 10 years in NZ where i was gainfully employed (firstly as an employee then self-employed) as a floorlayer. Ive a busy life outside the 'craft' with 2 kids, a severe synthesizer addiction and a not so severe homebrewing addiction and we are now in the process of settling our little, loud family back in Fife with extended family whilst i find work in the area. Although the whole forum thing is relatively new to me, I trust i will find some great resources in trade practises and the like from you guys and hope i can put forward some positive input myself. Best Regards Paul
bahahahaha, changed times now mate, at least $20 although it depends what your using them for of course....... Horrific labourers, never wipe their feet, always wandering off to see their mates etc etc
Hi and cheers. Strange as it may seem we actually prepared ourselves 'mentally' for coming back to the 'Great British Summer' as we were a little spoiled in the region we were living in. Absolutely no regrets .....so far. weather smeather. I work indoors
Not mine unfortunately, belongs to a good friend, I had the job of re-carpeting it. Hand sowen over the transmission tunnel. The guy is a perfectionist and the car looks like is new, it's a 1932 woosley sedan de-ville.
Nice to see cars like that being revived to their former glory hobbit. Not quite in that league but my brother has a mint mk1 golf clipper which looks stunning and is an interesting drive . cheers for the good wishes, so far ive done a bit of networking with the guys around the area i used to live and work in and have some positive/promising leads. Was always going to be a challenge, walking in and looking for work but life's boring without the little challenges.
