Got to invest in a door trimmer but which type? the door boss kind or the janser flex? found a door boss for £300 and im following a flex on ebay thats local to me secondhand.

    Which would you go for?

Would you not be better with a track saw like festool to trim them mate?

Dont want to take them off lol, got a cordless dewalt circular at moment that been using when needed but all the other fitters have door bosses and can do literally 5+ doors in the time it takes me to do 1, so thought id bite bullet and get one.

You will make your money back tho. I got a wolf floor stripper on eBay for £300. Used it 3 times and it shit itself. Quoted £600 to repair it! Should of just bought a new one!

At £7.50 a door it's gonna take me a longtime to make my money back lol, if I was trimming 5/6 doors daily I'd go for it but I'm only doing a few here and there so can't justify in my mind spending nearly treble what I'd thought I'd spend on it.

£7.50 ? cheap. I would be £15 first door and then £10 for each one after as a minimum. I also have a door boss for sale but again 240v. Was going to give it Mario to sell for me on shop.

That's the price we get at new place I work for, they have priced it based on you are using a door trimmer as its new build and shouldn't take you more than a few minutes per door.

Last place I worked just expected you to do it as part and parcel! Soon always told site we don't cut doors :)
