Hi guys After some advice help from the experts here please. Im not very diy savvy so apologies for my ignorance in advance. We recently removed a hearth removed from our lounge which has a oak floor. This has left quite a big gap and im not sure how to get it patched up as it were. The floor is probably a good few years old and there is no wsy of knowing where it is from. The space is not big 137cm long by 36cm wide. Any advise plz. Ive attached a pic. Im based in West Yorkshire if there are any local experts around who could help
To repair it you need to find out what it is and where it's from really. If you could get a planks out there might be some info on the back
How wide is the oak strip. They look either 57mm or 83mm both are available in European or American. I can see some knots so I' d guess this is not prime, there is little colour variation so for the amount you need you would be better to go with prime.
