Just had a phonecall to say the job I priced up for Expona design on another UFH basement ive now lost because they have had a much cheaper quote.
...this is because the fitter has told them the fresh floor is that mint that it doesnt need a screed, it just needs a 'polish up' (his words apparently) and he'll stick straight on that!!!

I've always screeded regardless and theres no way id be going straight over the shiney floor!
Told them they should do what they want to do but dont be ringing me when it goes tits up.

The builder used what they used to call gyvlon screed, apparently its called something else now and the data sheet says any type of floor covering can be applied so they've blew me out....ahh well, just means I'll be doing my 'last minute xmas shopping' on time this year :)

Anhydrite, they always sell it, as a lay over product, but that`s pure shite.

I had same argument with a customer over gyvlon floor last week........ My builder says its rapid drying so I'm not willing to take your advice that it's 92% wet.......... Ok love crack on with feather finish in to the top and watch it pop
