Was just thinking I might not of been a Floorlayer when I leave school.

    I had a interview for dixons but didn't get a 2nd

I was close to going to collage to do graphic design but my dad who was a joiner then site agent said me and my brother should get trades.

    He became a JCB driver

    What did you nearly do?

I used to knock around with older mates so when I started training to be a sparky I lasted 8 weeks and jacked it in. I ended up getting a agency warehouse job at viking direct just so I could earn enough to go out with my mates nearly everynight instead of the 1 night when I was only earning £55 a week :(. Still kind of regret it now but soon as I got a chance in a trade floorlaying I was right on it. Still knock about with one of my mates from back then and he's always skint asking me to lend him money till next payday! Tables turned...:D

When I left school, I enrolled to start college doing business studies. I got a job during the summer, working with a fitter, and never even started the course.
I have thought many times since, about getting out of the trade, but nothing really pays the same, and I could never sit in an office all day.

Started my apprenticeship 1 week after leaving school many moons ago. A lot of people complain but I absolutely love the trade and love my job. It has made me have a very comfortable lifestyle, I will be able to retire early and the bonus of it all Is I am able to pass on my knowledge to my lads that work for me only 9 at the moment. Busy all year round this year so bring on 2016 and hope its as good for everyone

    MAD FOR IT

Apprenticeship in mechanics, passed but then left the trade, not what I wanted. Had a chance to see the world, starting in Belize, but followed my pants... and ended up doing (not sure) o_O
