Sometimes, it`s nice to have a few extra`s on jobs. A bit of dpm, or additional latex. Went to look at a site in Glasgow today, that we start next week. Could we sort these out as well ? There are 9 to change 7 the same size. What a twat !
That was my first suggestion ! No drain survey has been done, but apparently, to get the building warrant, they must all be accessible.
I`ve priced up to fit these, and they found another on site today, so 10 in total It would be a lot of work, to break out the existing, raise the level, and bed them in, so its been priced accordingly. Hopefully, some other mug will get it, but I bet we end up either doing the whole job, or sorting out the mess left by someone else. I`ve also got the problem, of leaving an expansion gap, around the outside edge ? Any ideas ?
How about these expansion cover strips http://www.quantumprofilesystems.com/en/brands/quantum/pvc-transition-strips/cover-joints/qcj50
Yep they would probably work, but I need something 6mm thick. I have been thinking of these, but don`t want to make it over complicated, or spoil the look. http://www.gradusworld.com/tp291f4
Got the job ffs. Covers are ordered, just waiting for a delivery date. Will post up some pictures, when were on site. I`m thinking of taking a chance on the expansion, and cutting tight. It would mean a re-visit to Glasgow if they move, but would be an easy fix, and would look 100% better without a trim.
Thanks mate. The other guys who priced, assumed they would get the job, and sent some standard glav lids down. They might be on ebay now !?!
