Been to a Uzin demo last 2 days and seen some game changing products. Does anyone use Uzin products? Here is what we had a play with - Primers PE 360 multi purpose primer PE 280 this is good for non absorbent surfaces as leaves rough key PE630. This is a game changer, like rapid repair mortar, you can use on floorboards then screed over. PE404.a resin type DPM, goes over old bitumen as well. Dries in 40 mins Screeds 150 which had great flow and low price 152 which was one of best screeds I've used. Amazing flat finish. 148 fibre screed, put down with with his hand lol. Completely flat later. 163 which is a new water mix which don't need priming and can go over old adhesive. Lots of other bits and bobs. Will give them a go for the next few months and see how things go.
Haven't seen them... However I've contacted F-Balls twice the last 3 days via email ref their subfloor course.., and haven't had a reply... I have a re-training package I'd like use
Yep, Uzin were great. The guys really know what they are talking about and had a answer or solution to everything we asked. Some very impressive products on display. Just need to work on the discount at the wholesaler now!
I gave up with there screeds, after that disaster I posted on here. Also, they gave me no back up at all. I have always used there adhesives though, and still rate them as the best. What are the costs like on the new products ?
Not cheap, some will work out cheaper on time or coverage but you will most likely lay out a little more. It does seem like you are paying for the higher Quality product tho
Don`t mind paying more, so long as it works. Daz, what did they say about there moisture control system ? did you use it on that job ?
I haven't decided yet mate. The spec is Uzin gold. But the good DPM of Uzin is 404. Looks great but has got me worried as always use epoxy.
It Was a great demo course the best we have done so far, just got to wait for Monday now so I can order some screeds and primers and have a play in the real world
Quality two days. Did you use the full Uzin system Neil? Some great products and when you work out the time vs money battle, it's a better option. Or just NA everything pmsl
They said there must be contamination in the sub floor. I said to them, that they wrote the spec, and I followed it, and the system had failed. If there was another process which was required, they should have wrote it in, and it would have been done. They said the small print in the spec, basically absolved them from any form of liability, and left.
