Hi, we're finally having our bathroom re-done and we intend getting Amtico laid. We've been uhhhmmming and ahhhhing about designs, colours, tiles and stripping lines, then I had a brain wave to go for a motif in some of the "stria" range of design, on a plainish limestone colour floor. We went to see our flooring guy and agreed the tiles etc. But over the course of this evening I've started to lose my nerve a bit and wonder if it's perhaps a bit naff. It's the family bathroom of the house (we have 2 others) and we're going a bit to town on it. It will have a mahoosive 1.8mt glass fronted shower, Villeroy & Boch sanitaryware and high end fittings. So we thought it could take a bit of tongue in cheek "over the top'ness" which we don't mind. But we didn't want it to go for it, if generally folks thought it was really naff and out of date. I just wonder what the general perception of the Amtico motifs is?
Some look good, some look a bit naff. Depends on the areas and the tiles around it. You can google them online to get a better idea. If you get the right one it will make the room
Thanks for the replies so far. I should have said we're having plain white tiles on two walls and two painted walls - colour yet to be decided.
make sure you get a good fitter for the floor by the way, ideally get photos of their previous work preferably showing something abit tricky so you know they are capable.
If you go on the amtico website and find the recommended retailer near you then you can send a picture they will show you what any of the signature rage will look like in the bathroom including a motif in the middle ha!
