Just had an engineered wood (kahrs) floor fitted in my flat. Did the job myself with the help of a friend who has a bit of experience. Neither of us experts but we worked slowly and methodically and tried to follow all the recommended best practices.

Anyway, the job went OK overall but the floor is quite bouncy in places and no matter what we tried (relayed it twice now) just can't seem to get it to stay level.

    Some specifics:

Concrete subfloor which is level, confirmed with spirit before starting
About 35m2 spread across 3 rooms - no thresholds, boards all joining
    15mm thick, wide plank
Khars underlay with DPM built in
Good expansion gap all the way round
Bouncness is mostly in one room, near the far wall

Am more than willing to admit defeat on this so am happy for a pro to come around and fix it (have just posted in the trade section). I'm in London, N1 so if that's no good to you but you've got some suggestions, I'm all ears.

    Cheers!
