I live by the motto dont buy French motors and especially not vans, if it isn't German get a transit is my suggestion.

I would have agreed with that, but I bought a Vivaro (Traffic) on a 12 plate, as an ex demo with only a few thousand miles on it.
Its at over 70k now, and had no problems with it at all. Nothing except a set of pads, and oil and filters.
Still drives like new, and excellent on derv
For the price of an equivelent spec Transporter, I could have bought 3 Vivaro`s and had them sat on the drive, as spares !

Thats still being broke in at 70k though ;)

Everyone I know that had a trafic/vivaro/primastar has had the same problems, being mainly gearboxes and injectors, admittedly its on older models with higher mileage though.

Yep 70k is low mileage, but I have had plenty of Transporters, and Sprinters, which have had plenty of agro at less miles.
I normally get rid before 150k by which time they have earnt there money.
Gearboxes on early models were made from chocolate, and a leaky screen lead to injector problems.

I've brought a new vivaro sportive last month. Waited since October. Lovely drive , everyone that I know that has got one have never said any problems., so got one. It has a lot of clever little things o that make it practical for most trades.

    I def recommend

I'm toying with the idea for a new transit custom. They look great inside the cab and seem to have good mpg too
