Hi, I've revised my original idea about going LVT for the refurb job in the LVT section of the forum. I love the look of Karndean but there is no way to make the insulation system work without losing too much ceiling height. Plan is now to insulate the floor slab with Celotex PIR insulation boards and to looselay Quickstep on top. The Celotex boards are rated to 25 tonnes per metre2 and 20mm will provide enough insulation to stop the concrete slab sucking all the heat into the ground. I'll post up some thermal images of the heat loss later. so - who can supply and fit 30 metres of quickstep in East London please? cheers Si
