    Hi everyone,

Would like to know your thoughts on/experience with QuickStep Livyn. Was thinking of using this as flooring for a new house, including bathrooms..

Is it a reliable product? Is it durable and resistant do daily wear and tear or does it get damaged easily?

The supplier has told me there's 20 years warranty on it so this has reassured me, but what are your actual experiences with the product?

    Thanks
    Yan

I think it's a great product. We are fitting a lot more of the click than the stick down version. Very hard wearing floor

Lol, must of had a 20mm expansion gap. Seriously tho I'm well impressed with this stuff. I put down 100 m2 through 8 doorways and half over ufh and it's been fine!

I think for the bathroom will be risky. If water goes under will stay and will be problem after- damp smell and insects. It is good quality material, but is click system.
There is underlay for click LVT too.

Rang one of my headlam reps today for a price on ambience/balance and he says they've dropped the livyn name.
I laid a load of this in some kitchen show rooms earlier in the year, very impressed with the product but don't like having to leave any expansion gap.
Didn't hear the name of it but apparently they do a more expensive version now that has a higher fibreglass content and is more stable so an expansion gap is not needed.

I think inside is fine and you don't need expansion gaps, but at conservatories where you have big temperature changes you need some small gap. When is to hot the LVT are expands and when is too cold there are shrinking. If there are stick down they are not moving, but if is on plywood you can have surprises of the whether changes.

it still moves with temp changes. the fibreglass content reduces movement. How ever fibreglass cant do this in every direction. There is products with 3 layers at different angles to each other that are the most stable, but even then they still move.
