off to look at a job tomorrow where a floor has failed. i haven't seen or been to the job, this is all i know. The situation is the fitters have laid lvt click straight on top of the parquet, and the parquet has started lifting. if this is caused by sweating, is there an underlay i can use between the two? if not i think ill have to take up the parquet and raise the floor back up with ply

If you cover parquet it sweats and blows off the deck. Rip it up and build the level back up Don't ply over if the sub itsconcrete use a leveling compound. It's probably stuck with bitumen too

Take up and screed level. At least you can re use the floor. Take it up and number it in rows then relay

done now, drilled and plugged 9mm back down. Bitumen was wet/tacky didn't fancy levelling over that, especially that thick.

Not a good idea laying ply over concrete I'm assuming the sub is concrete with it being parquet laid on bitumen which also makes me think it's an old property so potentially the concrete is sitting straight on the ground ? Just speculation

Wood + moisture = failure
