Hi, I'm hoping someone here can help me. We have decided on either of the floors above with water or tan oak in the distinctive or verdin oak in the moduleo. I prefer the finishes on both of these to karndean and amtico. But do you think there are any advantages or disadvantages of using them? We live near Watford and it doesn't seem like any shops have big displays of the distinctive, which concerns me a little as it makes me think if they haven't invested in the displays, maybe they dont sell much of it, and I wonder why? Looking for reassurance really! Also, if anyone is able to tell me the difference between water and tan oak that would be amazing, as I find it hard to tell from the samples. Thanks for any advice

Similar planks but water oak has light grey texture through it for a more modern look.
Top rated products distinctive and Moduleo. Not big brand names but top quality.

The reason most shops don't bother with putting different stands in is because most of the general public will gravitate to the names of amtico or karndean so most shops will spend the money on those stands/products even if the quality isn't as good (theres an argument to be made about moduleo/distinctive doing better/more marketing for joe public), personally having fitted all 4 id say the distinctive is the best quality product imho, from your point of view id just go for the colour you like best as thats the best way to go when quality wise they are similar.

Katir - great to hear your interested in either water oak or tan oak from our signature collection, we have a customer based in nw10 who has a full showroom of distinctive flooring called Klynstone ltd, also there is a company in Leighton buzzard called aspect design flooring of which I could also recommend, there are others too in Hemel Hempstead that we have and also are in talks with, we are say more selective on where our products are displayed, stands do come at a cost to our retailers and like the others have already said, brands such as amtico and karndean are a much easier investment as they have been on the market for 25-50yrs between them, our growth within the uk over the past 4-5 years has been nothing short of extraordinary and we have plenty more planned for 2017, we have Facebook, Pinterest, instagram, twitter, we are partnered with houzz, our own website will be updated this year as we have new ranges on the horizon, we have many valuable retailers that we work very closely with and will continue to do so this year, I will state distinctive floorings lvt ranges are superb, the manufacturing process is unrivalled, moduleo are also very good but with choosing water oak / tan oak you have chosen 2 of the best colours in lvt in my opinion, if you would like any sampling please advise and I will sort for you. Kind regards, thanks for your interest.

Thank you glenn, I'm back at work tomorrow and must say I'm looking forward to it. Thanks also for your positive comments towards our products along with your help you're helping us grow as a brand and a company, this southern rep has seen a lot happen over the past 4 years and believe that there is still so much to come. Keep it distinctive. We listen and we react.

From a none biased point of view, i run Europes largest and multi award winning floor coverings training centre. Both products you have mentioned above are in my personal top 3 LVT products available. No im not saying which one is best as staying none biased. But you cant go wrong with either. You just need to decide which retailer is offering you the best installers. If not installed correct the floor wont preform. Ask for certificates of training , look at reviews and so on .
