While we all know that screed is not to be put on top of a chipboard floating floor, is there any reason not to nail 6mm ply on, and then a fibrous screed over to build up the level in a certain area of the room? Material to be laid on top is engineered wood. Problem is a rise in the concrete subfloor under the kingspan where a wall was removed.
