Hi-just starting project and having difficulty choosing flooring.
Think we want to go with a vinyl floor but so many brands/options not sure which will be most appropriate.Have a 60m2 open plan kitchen/living/dining area with basically a whole wall of glass. Also need to do about a further 60m2 including lounge, utility, hallway and downstairs loo.
We've been told not to use loose lay or clic system in open plan area as it might shrink/curl. Someone else has mentioned fading might be an issue too.

Finally, not sure whether it would be best to keep to the same floor throughout or perhaps go for stone effect in open plan /utility and wood effect everywhere else.

Any advice on brands/products appreciated (have seen very different views on Karndean and also looked at Amtico, Quickstep and polyflor). Views on what would work visually based on other projects you've done/seen would be helpful as well. Going to be a big spend for us so want to get right first time!

    Thanks!

Same floor throughout looks great Ties everything in Makes it feel like a complete space rather than a mish mash of different floors

if lvt only go for a stick down product, budget and the style your after should dictate which one you use, my advice would be to go for the best you can afford I personally think it looks quite smart doing the kitchen in a tile whilst the rest is in a wood plank as long as the colours go well together.

Thanks all. Stick down it is.

In terms of budget, don't think we can stretch to Amtico Signature so looking at probably Karndean, Spacia or possibly quickstep. All much of a muchness in terms of quality? Don't mind spending a bit more but only if it genuinely means better quality (rather than paying for brand name)

    Thx.

Moduleo by ivc top quality product with fibre glass reinforcement layer which if installed correctly will not shrink! also is reasonably priced.
